Visualizations of Data and Constellations: Two Ways of Constructing Narratives
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article deals with data visualization as a way of generating visual narratives. It presents, as reference, the process of conceiving star constellations as analogous to that of visualizing data, where the search for patterns allows us to find meaning in the world around us. Starting with the first contemporary data visualizations, and later through two projects recently completed in Chile, this article seeks to understand the difficulties and challenges in generating these visual narratives.
